Markus Blume

Bavarian State Minister for Science and the Arts

Markus Blume has served as Bavarian State Minister for Science and the Arts since February 2022. Prior to this, he was Secretary General of the CSU from 2018 to 2022. He has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament since 2008, representing the Munich-Ramersdorf constituency as a directly elected representative. A father of three, he lives in Munich. Before entering politics, Blume worked as a founder and board member of a medium-sized enterprise.
