Developer Advocate at Redis

Hey there! 👋🏾 I’m Samuel, a Developer Advocate at Redis focused on building and explaining AI systems that actually work in the real world. I spend my time exploring how to design reliable AI agents, especially around memory, state, and retrieval. In practice, that means helping developers understand how to move beyond demos into systems that are scalable, observable, and useful in production. My background is in Applied AI and software engineering, with experience across machine learning, backend systems, and developer education. I’m particularly interested in how tools like Redis can act as the memory layer for modern AI applications, making agents more consistent, context-aware, and performant. I care a lot about clarity. Not just what AI can do, but how it behaves under real constraints like latency, cost, and failure. Most of my work is about breaking these ideas down into something practical that engineers can actually use. Alongside this, I host Stories That Shape Us, where I speak with professionals and creatives about the experiences and decisions that shape their lives and careers. At the core, I believe good technology should be understandable, dependable, and built to serve people.
