Job description
The IT Help Desk Technician will provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for all hardware, software, and network-related issues within the warehouse and office environments. This role is essential in maintaining smooth IT operations across the logistics network and requires close collaboration with the warehouse and operations teams to ensure minimal disruption to daily workflows. The position involves on-site support in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Main responsibilities
· Provide day-to-day technical support for warehouse and office users, resolving issues related to computers, handheld scanners, printers, and other IT equipment.
· Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network connectivity, Wi-Fi, and system access in the warehouse environment.
· Set up and configure new hardware and software for staff, ensuring proper functionality and security compliance.
· Assist in managing user accounts, passwords, and access permissions in accordance with company IT policies.
· Support and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring operational continuity for the logistics and operations teams.
· Log, track, and document all IT support requests and resolutions using the company's ticketing system.
· Coordinate with external vendors or the central IT team for escalated technical issues or system upgrades.
· Conduct routine checks on IT equipment in the warehouse to prevent downtime.
· Provide basic IT training and guidance to warehouse staff on the proper use of systems and equipment.
· Support software updates, backups, and preventive maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, · Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Minimum 1-2 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a logistics, warehouse, or industrial environment.
Skills and knowledge:
· Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, MS Office, and common enterprise applications.
· Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting (PCs, printers, scanners, mobile devices).
· Basic knowledge of networking (LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches).
· Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems is an advantage.
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical warehouse and operations staff.
· Willingness to work on-site and occasionally outside normal business hours for urgent support.
