Job description

We're looking for a skilled and proactive 2nd / 3rd Line Support Technician to provide advanced technical support while assisting in the maintenance and improvement of core IT infrastructure. You'll balance BAU support duties with hands-on involvement in infrastructure projects, ensuring reliable and secure IT services for our clients. This role suits someone who thrives on variety - from troubleshooting complex issues to contributing to long-term technical solutions., * Deliver 2nd and 3rd line support across desktops, servers, networks, and cloud environments.

  • Manage and resolve escalated incidents from the service desk in a timely, professional manner.
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot infrastructure systems including servers, storage, and networking.
  • Support and assist with infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and system improvements.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on system design, implementation, and documentation.
  • Proactively identify recurring issues and recommend long-term resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate technical and procedural documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance to 1st line technicians and contribute to best practice standards.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Virtualization?, * Strong 2nd/3rd line technical experience within a multi-site or MSP environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP.
  • Experience supporting and administering Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Understanding of networking principles - VLANs, VPNs, routing, firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, WatchGuard, Sophos).
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper-V).
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery tools (Veeam, Acronis, etc.).
  • Good understanding of IT security, patching, and endpoint management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
