Absorb is on the hunt for a Manager, Business Intelligence whos equal parts strategist, builder, and storyteller. In this role, youll architect the insights engine that drives smarter decisions across Marketing and Productfrom defining rock-solid metrics to unlocking full-funnel visibility and powering automation at scale. What youll do:
- Establish and maintain the semantic layer (metrics, dimensions, business logic) so Marketing, Product, and Enablement share one source of truth.
- Deliver decision-ready dashboards and self-serve for product and marketing performance; drive adoption and consistency.
- Build end-to-end visibility across the prospect and customer funnels.
- Own tracking plans and governance (naming, schemas, consent/PII) for Marketo (including Engage & Measure) and Pendo; ensure accurate, current instrumentation.
- Ensure timely, accurate campaign support (lists, segment definitions, suppressions, enrichments, QA) so planned campaigns launch on schedule.
- Maintain data pipelines and SLAs that keep reporting current and dependable.
- Own data quality workflows (lineage, alerts, anomaly checks, backfills) and documentation; uphold privacy/compliance standards.
- Manage a small team; run 1:1s, reviews, and career development; establish intake and prioritization rituals.
Requirements
- 5-8 years in BI/Analytics with cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Product, RevOps).
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Hands-on with a major BI tool (Looker/Power BI/Tableau) and semantic-layer concepts.
- Experience with SQL and data-modeling (dbt or similar).
- Proven ownership of marketing automation and/or product analytics instrumentation, specifically Marketo and Pendo (tracking plans, field hygiene, event schemas, QA).
- Familiarity with GA4/UTM governance, Salesforce/CRM objects, and ETL/ELT (e.g., Fivetran/Stitch) in a cloud DW (Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift).
- Clear communicator who can define metrics, set expectations/SLA, and drive adoption without boiling the ocean.
- Nice-to-have:
- Experience with marketing attribution and multi-touch reporting
- Experience working with Salesforce
- Experience supporting paid search performance reporting and optimization.
