Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all IT activities. This includes ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, and providing technical support to staff and students. The successful candidate will report directly to the senior AIT HQ team and collaborate closely with other stakeholders to implement IT strategies and initiatives., 1. Lead and manage a team of IT technician(s), providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.

Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT systems, including hardware, software, and networking infrastructure.

Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance, security, and efficiency.

Coordinate with the senior AIT HQ team to align local IT initiatives with broader organizational goals and strategies.

Provide technical support to staff and students, resolving issues promptly and effectively to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Manage IT projects within the local area, from planning and budgeting to implementation and evaluation.

Monitor IT performance metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the field of IT, and recommend innovations to enhance operational effectiveness.

Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure IT equipment, software licenses, and support services.

Prepare regular reports and updates for the senior AIT HQ team, summarizing IT activities, achievements, and challenges within the local area.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Leadership?, We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior IT Technician to join our team and be an integral part of IT operations within our local area., Proven experience (5+ years) in IT management roles, preferably in an educational or similar setting.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

Comprehensive knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and protocols, including hardware, software, networking, and security.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Project management experience, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate IT projects on time and within budget.

Familiarity with ITIL framework and other IT service management practices.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or ITIL are desirable., * Managing: 1 year (preferred)
