Job description
You will be part of a small onsite IT team, supporting staff with day-to-day technical issues. On some days, you may be the only person onsite, so reliability and maturity are essential.
3Gi Head Office - Shenfield
You will support the client from here and receive training, mentoring, and exposure to the wider engineering team covering Cloud, AI, and Cyber Security.
What You'll Be Doing
You will be involved in:
- Providing 1st-line IT support to business users
- Troubleshooting issues with laptops, hardware, software, and basic networking
- Setting up new starters, devices, and Microsoft 365 accounts
- Assisting with system updates, installations, and technical rollouts
- Properly logging, owning, and resolving support tickets
- Supporting the 3Gi engineering team to keep systems running smoothly
- Learning how IT operations work in a real business environment, * Full, structured training
- Mentoring from experienced engineers
- Exposure to modern enterprise technology
- Hands-on commercial experience from day one
- A clear path into a full Junior Engineer role as you grow

Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Phone etiquette?, * Have some hands-on IT experience (home lab, building PCs, helping school IT, a previous junior role, supporting users in retail/hospitality, etc.)
- Want to learn fast and aren't afraid of responsibility
- Can communicate clearly, professionally, and calmly
- Are reliable, punctual, and take pride in doing things properly
- Can cope with a busy environment and solve problems under pressure
- Are proactive and don't wait to be told the same thing twice
- Want to build confidence and experience in a commercial environment
If you want a quiet, slow-paced entry into IT, this isn't going to be the right place.
If you want to learn quickly and work with people who take IT seriously - you will fit right in.
Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Able to commute reliably to both Barbican (London) and Shenfield (Essex)
- Some practical IT experience (work, school, self-taught, or home projects)
- Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and hardware setup
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good customer service skills and a professional manner
- Ability to work independently when required
- High levels of reliability, punctuality, and responsibility
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and processes
Nice to Have (Not Essential)
- Experience supporting users in any environment
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 admin or Intune
- Any IT-related education (A-Level IT, BTEC, etc.)
- Experience with device builds, repairs, or troubleshooting
- A personal interest in cloud, cybersecurity, or automation, * Build confidence and experience in a corporate office environment
- Work as part of a highly experienced team
- Ability to determine the skills you want to develop from a range of industry standard platforms
Education: A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
