In this role you act as first and second line support for our customers.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Handling support tickets, e-mails, chat and (occasionally) phone calls.
- Troubleshooting hosting-related issues:
- Linux servers (CLI), web hosting, VPS, GPU servers
- DNS, SSL, web servers, e-mail issues, performance problems
- Managing SSL certificates (ordering, installation, renewal, troubleshooting).
- Helping customers with questions about invoices, payments, cancellations and renewals.
- Thinking along with customers about the best technical solution and: identifying opportunities to upsell/cross-sell; suggesting upgrades (GPU capacity, longer terms).
- Working closely with sales and engineering when issues become more complex.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Zendesk?, You are service-oriented, technically strong and enjoy direct contact with customers.
Must-haves:
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role:
technical support / helpdesk / hosting support / junior sysadmin.
Solid knowledge of Linux (Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS/Alma/etc.), preferably from the command line.
Experience with hosting environments: DNS (A, AAAA, MX, CNAME, TXT, PTR, etc.); web servers (Nginx/Apache); SSL certificates (installation and troubleshooting)
Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
You are comfortable with a commercial mindset: spotting opportunities for upgrades and additional services; discussing these in a natural, customer-friendly way.
Customer-focused, patient, accurate and able to set priorities.
Nice-to-haves (big plus):
Familiarity with GPU servers and high-performance computing / AI / ML workloads.
Experience with ticketing systems (e.g. Zendesk, Freshdesk, Jira, etc.).
Hardware knowledge:
basic understanding of server/PC hardware (disks, RAM, NICs, etc.)
able to perform simple hardware checks or replacements in a server environment.
Basic knowledge of virtualisation (KVM, Proxmox, VMware) or containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
