Job description
Managing the assessment and provision of appropriate responses to incoming customer enquiries. The generation and issuing of formal technical quotations in a timely and accurate manner to ensure excellent customer service., * Be the first port-of-call for customer sales enquiries including responding to emails and telephone calls
- Preparing sales quotations based on email and telephone enquiries, and via the Business Development team
- Calculate pricing for servicing work, spare parts and preparing service contracts
- Reviewing current approach with customers and previous quotations to ensure the correct pricing, currency, payment terms, discounts and shipping arrangements are applied where applicable
- Liaise with the Packing Department to obtain accurate weights and dimensions
- Liaise with the Production Department to obtain accurate product lead times
- Obtain freight quotes from logistics providers
- Provide a strong understanding of Copley products and in particular the features and benefits for customers applications
- Identify opportunities to 'up-sell' or address 'gaps' in customer requests and discuss these with the Business Development Team
- Providing appropriate technical guidance and relevant equipment literature when appropriate
- Dealing with technical queries including liaising with other functions, including the Business Development Team, Technical Support Department and Customer Account Managers, as required
- To maintain timely and accurate records in the CRM.
- To input and manage data within the SAGE200 commercial modules
- Updating price lists and master quotes templates
- Perform other routine clerical tasks as assigned and requested by the Line Manager
- Must be aware of duties relating to Health and Safety and work in a safe manner at all times
- To actively seek Continuous Improvements in all activities carried out
Requirements
- Minimum of A-levels in maths and science related subjects
- Experience in a similar technical/scientific role, ideally with a global customer base.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Highly organised and diligent with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Computer literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Experience of Sage 200 and CRM
- Enthusiastic and proactive work ethic.
- Determination and resilience.
- Must be able to work alone or as part of a team in a demanding and work-intensive environment
- Must be confident, flexible and willing to change duties to meet the changing demands of the company
- Willing and capable of learning new skills

Benefits & conditions
- Salary £30,000 per annum
