Data Engineer

For our client, a big data agency, we're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to spearhead the implementation of innovative data platform solutions. In this role, you'll engage with business stakeholders, ensuring that the technical solutions you design align seamlessly with business needs. If you have a knack for designing cloud infrastructure and data platforms, we want to hear from you!, * Develop and manage cloud data platforms on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, ensuring adherence to security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability principles.

• Oversee a team of data engineers, aligning technical solutions with business requirements while managing stakeholder relationships.
• Employ Python, SQL, and Git for data processing and application development, while adhering to software engineering best practices.
• Design and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes using tools like Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Design and utilize various data storage solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Apply knowledge of data modeling and database normalization to ensure efficient data organization and retrieval.

Requirements Senior Data Engineer (Dutch speaking)

• 4+ years of experience as a Cloud Data Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Git.
• Knowledge of Software Engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience designing and implementing data platforms on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data storage techniques (data lakes, data warehouses, SQL/NoSQL databases).
• Experience with platform design, DevOps features, and CI/CD tools (Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, AWS CDK, Bicep/ARM).
• Experience with virtualization and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of orchestration and data processing tools (Apache Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, (Py)Spark, Scala).
• Understanding of Data Modelling and Database Normalisation.

A great permanent role in Amsterdam/Den Bosch, with a salary of €4500 - €7000 gross per month. Aside from salary, there are other secondary which we would be happy to tell you about in a call!
