Network Engineer

The focus is on the design, configuration, operation and optimization of complex network environments, as well as ensuring the availability and security of the infrastructure.

Your future tasks:

• Planning, design and implementation of Cisco-based network solutions (LAN/WAN/WLAN)
• Configuration, operation and troubleshooting of network components (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers)
• Monitoring and optimization of network performance including error analysis and troubleshooting.
• Implementation of network security measures (e.g. VLAN, ACLs, VPN, segmentation)
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, network diagrams and standards
• Participation in projects (rollouts, migrations, upgrades) and close collaboration with architecture, security and system teams.
• 2nd/3rd level support for network issues and assistance with incident and problem management

Do you have experience in Scripting?, * Proven professional experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise or service provider environment

• Several years of experience in networking, WLAN and security in complex environments
• Excellent knowledge of Cisco network technologies (campus, data center, WLAN)
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center / SDA, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ISE, Cisco Controller and Meraki
• Ideally, Cisco certification at the professional level (e.g., CCNP); expert level is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of automation and scripting (Ansible, Python)
• Structured, solution-oriented approach with high troubleshooting skills
• Very good German and English skills
• Willingness to travel depending on project requirements
