Job description
- Providing 1st and 2nd Line support across multiple client environments.
- Supporting and maintaining LAN and WAN environments, including switches, firewalls, and VPN connectivity. - Essential
- Assisting with IP addressing, network configuration, and basic routing and firewall rule changes under guidance. - Essential
- Supporting users and systems across Microsoft 365, Azure / Entra ID, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
- Troubleshooting desktop, server, and network-related issues remotely and on-site.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience or good working knowledge of:
- Networking fundamentals - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs.
- Basic understanding of routing, NAT, and network security concepts.
- Microsoft 365 / Office 365.
- Windows 10 / 11 and basic Windows Server.
- Active Directory and Azure AD / Entra ID.
About You:
- Around 3 - 5 years' experience in IT support (1st / 2nd Line), ideally in an MSP or busy internal IT environment.
- Comfortable supporting users and infrastructure and not afraid of networking-related issues.
- Keen to learn, develop, and work towards certifications (Microsoft, networking, security).
- Confident communicator with a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Enjoys working in a small team where you are trusted, valued, and given responsibility.
