Job description
An established, multi-site property business in Gateshead is appointing an IT & Communications Manager to take ownership of its core systems and shape how technology supports the business day to day. This is a hands-on, people-focused role for someone who enjoys making systems reliable, intuitive and genuinely useful.
You'll act as the trusted internal point of contact for IT, CRM platforms and communications, working closely with teams through staff induction and system set ups, improve workflows, data quality and system adoption. Alongside maintaining day-to-day operations, you'll identify integrations, automation and enhancements that improve efficiency and user experience.
Working with senior leadership across multiple branches, you'll balance responsive support with planned system development. This role suits someone practical, calm and inquisitive - comfortable supporting non-technical users and steadily evolving the business's technology in a considered, forward-thinking way.
The Package:
- Multi-site position with a branch office presence as required, with remote working options available
- Up to £40k basic (D.O.E) plus company car + private healthcare
- Monday - Friday, 8.45am - 5pm

The IT & Communications Manager Role:
- Managing and maintaining all IT systems, infrastructure and security
- Acting as primary administrator for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
- Owning and administering the CRM system (Street experience desirable)
- Configuring workflows, automations and integrations to improve efficiency
- Managing telephony/VoIP, internal communications tools and system uptime
- Providing day-to-day IT support, onboarding and offboarding users
- Delivering basic training and creating simple user guides
- Managing IT suppliers, backups, disaster recovery and documentation
- Identifying and implementing system and workflow improvements
Requirements
Do you have experience in VoIP?, * Strong experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 (essential)
- CRM experience and a solid understanding of workflows and data integrity
- Familiarity with VoIP/telephony systems and third-party integrations
- Excellent people and customer-service skills, supporting non-technical users
- Confidence handling reactive issues alongside planned projects
- Curiosity around Prop Tech, automation and emerging AI tools
- Comfort working across multiple offices and managing ad-hoc requests
