IT Support Technician

• In your role as an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing vital day-to-day technical support across our organization. You will assist in the management of both hardware and software systems and contribute to the smooth running of software and administrative functions across our IT network. Your support will be central to fostering a modern learning environment, where you will help resolve issues promptly, ensuring that technology enhances teaching and learning from Key Stage 3 through to Sixth Form.

• I require experience with Microsoft Office and Active Directory.
• You should have a background in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, including both hardware and software.
• Proficiency in installing and testing network infrastructure equipment such as switches, routers, servers, and associated cabling is necessary.
• You must be able to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network faults through testing, repair, or liaison with external support.
• It's important that you can maintain, service, and clean IT and AV equipment, including computers, projectors, and printers.
• You should be capable of installing new systems and cabling as required.
• I expect you to provide support to staff and students in the use of IT services and equipment in accordance with school procedures.
• You will be the first point of contact for helpdesk inquiries.
