Job description

  • In this role, you will support our hospitality and events business based in Luton by addressing all IT requirements.
  • You will take responsibility for securing the IT network and providing core support to all staff members.
  • As an IT Support Engineer, you will work alongside the IT Manager to provide technical assistance, troubleshooting day-to-day issues and helping to ensure the smooth functioning of our IT systems and infrastructure.
  • This position requires a good understanding of various hardware and software technologies and excellent problem-solving skills, requiring you to work collaboratively with colleagues and external vendors.

Requirements

  • I require a minimum of two years' experience in a similar IT support role.
  • A solid understanding of standard computing systems and networking principles is essential.
  • You should have experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking TCP/IP knowledge.
  • I expect a good understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure.
  • Exposure to Windows 11 and Server in a corporate environment is necessary.
  • You must have the ability to troubleshoot common issues with various devices and software.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities are important for interacting clearly and constructively with team members and business users.
  • I need you to be proficient in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while prioritizing and adapting to planned and reactive work effectively.
  • Any knowledge of Power BI or PowerShell is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience using service desk tools and remote support software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and SLAs is beneficial.
