Job description
- As our IT Manager, you will be the single point of contact for IT and will be responsible for:
- Implementing the successful delivery of the Information Communication Technology Strategy.
- Ensuring the relationship between the Authority and ICT Managed Services provider is maintained and that service is provided in line with the contract.
- Ensuring ICT infrastructure continues to support the Authority's needs, drive continuous improvement, and advise on the most suitable ICT services and software solutions.
- Enabling ICT business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
- Liaising with the Authority's service provider to identify and mitigate any technological risks, ensuring privacy and security regulatory compliance.
- Identifying opportunities to use digital tools and AI to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
- Procuring the renewal of the Authority's hardware and software.

Requirements
- Experience building and maintaining client/contractor relationships, with demonstrated success in the delivery of ICT strategies and overseeing service provision contracts.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with document/record retention systems such as SharePoint.
- Previous experience working alongside a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Skills in data analysis, extraction, manipulation, and cleansing are advantageous.
- Awareness of emerging technologies and the deployment of digital tools.
- Familiarity with Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation and experience liaising between client and contractor during a business continuity event or cyber-attack.
- An ability to read and understand complex payment mechanisms and produce verification measures.
- A proven track record for identifying and documenting information flows and business processes.
