Job description

We're looking for a hands-on IT System Administrator to support users at a local European site while working closely with a central IT function. You'll be the go-to person for day-to-day IT support, keeping systems running smoothly and ensuring a great user experience.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and being the local IT expert-without the pressure of people management.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide first-line, on-site IT support for hardware, software, and network issues

  • Resolve incidents locally and escalate complex issues to central IT

  • Act as the main IT contact for local users

  • Install, maintain, and manage end-user devices and peripherals

  • Coordinate repairs and vendors; maintain IT asset inventory

  • Monitor local network components and support basic patching/cabling

  • Manage user accounts and access rights (Active Directory)

  • Implement local IT security standards and handle security incidents

  • Support IT rollouts, upgrades, and continuous service improvements

  • Collaboration with central IT team on VPN and WAN issues (read only)

Requirements

Essential

  • IT-related qualification or equivalent hands-on experience

  • Strong knowledge of Windows client environments

  • Experience with Active Directory

  • Basic understanding of networks and Windows Server environments

  • Confidence supporting printer hardware and peripherals

  • Good communication skills in English

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in an international or multi-site environment

  • Knowledge of IT security best practices

  • Additional European language skills
