Job description
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support professional to provide technical assistance and support to our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services across various platforms. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong foundation in computer networking, operating systems, and customer service to develop their careers within a dynamic environment., * Provide first-line technical support to end-users via help desk tickets, email, or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues related to Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, and other operating systems.
- Assist with desktop support including hardware repairs, upgrades, and configuration.
- Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory and other identity management systems.
- Support network infrastructure including LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, firewall configurations, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Maintain and support server environments such as Microsoft Windows Server and Linux-based systems.
- Use tools like SCCM, ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for ticketing, deployment, and asset management.
- Configure and support network security measures including firewalls and VPNs to ensure data protection.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, backups, and software troubleshooting.
- Document technical procedures and solutions clearly for future reference.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new systems or upgrades efficiently.
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS?, * Proven experience in technical support or IT support roles within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and peripherals.
- Familiarity with operating systems including Windows (desktop & server), macOS, Linux.
- Experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, LAN configuration, and TCP troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory management and user account administration.
- Knowledge of security practices involving firewalls and VPN configurations.
- Proficiency in using remote management tools like SCCM or equivalent software deployment solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
