Job description
We're hiring an Operative to join a specialist operations team supporting data centre testing projects across the UK and Europe. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys practical work, problem solving, and wants to develop technical skills within the rapidly growing data centre industry.
You'll be part of a small, supportive team preparing equipment, supporting testing projects, and assisting with installations on customer sites.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Preparing and maintaining specialist heat load testing equipment prior to delivery
- Assisting with the installation and setup of equipment on customer sites
- Supporting workshop operations including equipment maintenance and repairs
- PAT testing electrical equipment before dispatch
- Packing, loading, and unloading equipment and materials for projects
- Maintaining maintenance and test records
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to high quality standards
The role is split between warehouse/workshop work and project site visits, with occasional travel across the UK and Europe.
Requirements
- Someone early in their career looking to grow and develop technically
- Experience in a workshop, construction, engineering or warehouse environment is beneficial
- Basic understanding or interest in electrical systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Full UK driving licence and own transport

- £25,000 - £27,000 salary (depending on experience)
