IT Manager

My client is seeking a proactive, technically strong IT Manager to take charge of their modern, blue-chip IT environment. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys owning systems end-to-end and working with the latest Microsoft technologies in a fast-paced, professional setting. The Role You'll lead the day-to-day running, improvement, and security of the organisation's core IT services. From modern workplace technologies to on-prem and cloud infrastructure, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly while driving continual enhancement. What You'll Do

• Manage and optimise IT infrastructure: servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and related tools.
• Oversee IT operations, resolving incidents and delivering excellent support.
• Maintain strong cyber security practices and ensure compliance with standards.
• Lead small to medium technical projects.
• Manage suppliers, IT policies, documentation, and asset registers.
• Work with internal teams and partners to ensure a secure, reliable, scalable environment.
• Contribute to future IT strategy and improvement initiatives.

• Strong hands-on experience in a technical IT role.

• Expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, Intune, Defender, and Windows Server.

• Solid understanding of networking, security, and device management.

• Confident managing projects and external suppliers.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and ownership skills. Desirable:

• Experience with cyber security frameworks (e.g., Cyber Essentials).

• Understanding of ITIL.

• Exposure to compliance/governance.

• Relevant Microsoft or security certifications.
