Job description
The Hardware Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality electronic hardware designs. The role involves developing creative solutions to reduce complexity and solve complex engineering problems effectively. Responsibilities
- Prepare design specifications.
- Design printed circuit boards (PCB) using tools such as Altium.
- Perform simulation and module testing of designs.
- Conduct integration testing of the design.
- Document test results comprehensively.
- Create manufacturing test procedures for designs.
- Verify design specifications and reports.
- Engage with customers to define scope, review results, and discuss technical risks.
- Collaborate with Tech Leads to establish an effective work plan, including time and schedule estimates, requirements, and work processes.
- Apply engineering fundamentals and first-order engineering principles to confirm expected performance.
- Provide clear and complete analysis documentation in accordance with engineering procedures.
- Manage time effectively to deliver quality work within the project timeline.
- Communicate work activity status effectively to leadership.
- Manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Requirements
- Proficiency in PCB schematic design and circuit board layout.
- Five years of experience in the field.
- Experience with Altium design tools.
- Digital and analog design experience.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Ability to solve technical challenges using common design patterns.
- Effective use of data structures and algorithms.
- Understanding of coding standards to meet desired functionality using selected technology.
- Leadership experience within or outside the classroom.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills., * Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, or relevant engineering field from an accredited institution.
- Ability to contribute to creative solutions and challenge the status quo.
- Proactive learning of new tools and identification of opportunities for improvement.
- Promotion of the adoption of improvements.

This is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, NC. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
