IT Systems Administrator - Grand Haven Area job in Grand Haven

• Manage and maintain server infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux) and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Administer and support network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
• Implement and monitor data backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across the organization.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory and other systems.
• Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems through regular patching, vulnerability assessments, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand system requirements and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven expertise in managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls) and network security best practices.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (SAN/NAS).
• Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) or operational technology (OT) environments is a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA or MES systems.
• Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for operational technology (OT) environments.
