Job description

  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand and define application requirements.
  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions for production processes and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing manufacturing applications.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Integrate new software applications with existing manufacturing systems and databases.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for applications and processes.
  • Train end-users on new software applications and functionalities., Applications Engineer, Application Engineer, Software Applications Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Applications Engineer, Product Applications Engineer, Field Applications Engineer, Support Engineer, Sales Engineer, Implementation Engineer

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred) or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, field service, or technical sales within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar) and ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide technical support and solutions to customers.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to customer sites for demonstrations, training, and support.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to create clear and concise technical documentation or training materials.
  • Experience with simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD) or design tools (e.g., CAD/CAM).
