Job description
The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting end-user computing devices in a Windows 11 environment. This role includes hands-on hardware and software support, user data migrations, and close interaction with clinical staff during system upgrades and scheduled deployments. A strong customer-service mindset and professional presence are essential., + Deploy and support PC hardware, including desktops/laptops, monitors, and end-user peripherals

Install, configure, and support Windows 11 operating systems

Install and troubleshoot software applications and device drivers

Use SCCM to deploy and manage software and updates

Support Active Directory tasks, including basic user account management and group membership understanding

Assist users with OneDrive setup, data migration, and file synchronization

Support and troubleshoot a networked printing environment

Provide high-touch, white-glove support to clinicians during migrations from legacy systems to new equipment

Communicate clearly and professionally with clinical and non-technical users throughout deployment activities

Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Requirements

Experience deploying and supporting PC hardware and peripherals

Strong knowledge of Windows 11 desktop support

Experience installing and supporting applications and drivers

Hands-on experience with SCCM for software delivery

Basic Active Directory experience (user accounts, groups, access concepts)

Experience supporting OneDrive and end-user data setup

Ability to support network printers and print queues

Excellent communication and customer service skills, especially with clinician users

Professional presence and ability to work in patient-facing or clinical environments
Work Schedule & Flexibility

Must be flexible with working hours

Some installations and migrations may occur outside standard business hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed for scheduled deployments

This is a Contract position based out of Providence, RI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
