Job description

  • Deliver hands-on support for desktop, workstation, and network-related issues affecting staff, exhibitors, and event operations.
  • Investigate and resolve wired and wireless connectivity problems in meeting spaces, public areas, administrative offices, and event halls.
  • Install, test, and activate new network drops to meet the technical needs of exhibit spaces, registration areas, digital displays, and production teams.
  • Monitor network behavior during high-traffic events and take corrective action to improve reliability, speed, and user access.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure components, including network equipment and end-user devices, to minimize downtime.
  • Manage and update service desk tickets by documenting incidents, solutions, and follow-up actions in a timely manner.
  • Support infrastructure-related projects by assisting with configuration tasks, device setup, and on-site technical deployments.
  • Verify that network and workstation performance aligns with operational expectations before, during, and after event cycles. Requirements - Experience providing help desk, desktop support, or field technical support in a Windows-based environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, workstation hardware, and general hardware troubleshooting practices.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory for basic user and device support activities.
  • Understanding of LAN and WAN concepts, network connectivity principles, and basic network troubleshooting methods.
  • Ability to diagnose issues involving wired and wireless networks, network hardware, and related infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience handling service desk tickets with clear documentation and effective issue tracking.
  • Comfortable supporting infrastructure projects and performing hands-on technical work in active operational environments. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.
