Job description

Tumas Group is currently seeking to recruit an IT Support Officer to join our dynamic team at the IT Department on a full-time basis. Reporting into the IT Manager, the selected candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the company's IT infrastructure, providing first-line technical support to users, assisting with system administration tasks, and helping maintain secure and reliable systems. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and basic network issues (on-site and remote) and escalate complex incidents where necessary. - Install, configure, and update workstations, peripherals, and standard applications according to company policies. - Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and email/mailbox setups (onboarding and offboarding users). - Assist in monitoring system and network performance, reporting issues and potential risks to senior IT staff. - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as updates, patching, backups, and antivirus checks following documented procedures. - Maintain IT asset inventory (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, licenses, peripherals) and ensure accurate records. - Help prepare and maintain IT documentation, how-to guides, and knowledge base articles for users and internal use. - Support remote access and VPN configurations for users, ensuring secure connectivity. - Assist with small infrastructure projects (e.g., hardware refreshes, software rollouts, Wi-Fi improvements) under guidance from senior staff. - Adhere to IT security policies and procedures, promptly reporting security incidents or suspected breaches.

Requirements
