CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION ANALYST II

This position is Under the direct supervision of the CJIS Manager I, this position is responsible conducting research on multiple databases to ensure all desired or required information is received in its entirety and is accurate. This position must meet and maintain National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC) certification as required and is responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of data housed within the department databases., Specific duties include:

• Conducting in-depth research for accurate and complete criminal justice information by utilizing internal and external data bases or making contact with other criminal justice agencies to ensure all information received is complete and accurate;
• Analyzing reports for discrepancies and identifies potential problems in criminal history records;
• Monitoring and resolving criminal history records submission errors;
• Contacting criminal justice agencies for source documentation to support additions, deletions, and modifications;
• Making modifications to electronic systems as necessary;
• Resolving difficult, unusual, or questionable issues in the review and processing of criminal justice information;
• Assisting with electronic arrest submissions to ensure timely and accurate processing of records;
• Assisting in training new members; and

• Maintaining various logs and records of the requests received and processed., FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants.
