Job description
Kforce’s client in Birmingham, AL that is seeking an Information Technology Application Support Analyst to join their production support team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting application issues, validating software releases, and supporting critical business systems in a fast-paced production environment., This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential. Although the role is primarily remote, candidates must be able to attend approximately one month of onsite training in Birmingham, Alabama before transitioning to remote work. Training will take place during day hours. The scheduled shift is Monday through Friday, 9:00 PM - 4:00 AM Central Time, with participation in an on-call rotation approximately once every eight weeks., * Monitor and support production applications during overnight operations
- Perform application and release validations following software deployments
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve support tickets from the team’s queue
- Investigate incidents and escalate issues when appropriate
- Document findings, resolutions, and support activities
- Collaborate with application support teams, developers, and business partners to resolve issues efficiently
- Participate in an overnight support environment that ensures application stability and availability
- Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every eight weeks
Requirements
- Experience supporting applications in a production or IT support environment
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working a permanent overnight shift
- Ability to attend onsite training in Birmingham, Alabama for approximately one month
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Experience using ServiceNow
- Experience working with ticket management systems
- Familiarity with release validation or post-deployment testing

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
