Workday Grants Delivery Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you help clients achieve enterprise performance improvements through grant-focused Workday implementations and operational support. You’ll work within Deloitte’s GPS practice to blend strategy, process design, and technology enablement for government and public sector clients. You’ll tackle grant-related configuration, compliance reviews, and incident triage, while shaping longer-term optimization and reporting capabilities. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate grant master data, worktagging, and postings, delivering measurable impact. The opportunity combines hands-on Workday work with a client-facing, transformation mindset to advance mission-critical Compensation / Benefits * Handle grant-related configuration and operating processes in Workday Financials, including grant setup, worktag strategy, charging rules, validations, and reporting expectations * Review compliance artifacts (SOPs, control points, audit requirements, known issues) * Provide Day-One Surge Support (Hypercare/Stabilization) and triage grant-impacting issues * Deliver steady-state O&M by handling incidents, requests, and problem management; maintain documentation * Identify opportunities to improve compliance and transparency; implement complex enhancements with testing and stakeholder readiness * Deliver grant-related processes in Workday Financials (grant master data, worktagging/charging controls, grant-focused reporting, approvals/security) * Lead projects or workstreams and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment * Collaborate with Accounting and Integrations on issues spanning posting logic or data flows Tasks * Bachelor’s degree * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship * Workday Financial Services Certification and/or Workday Grants Management Certification * 5+ years of experience in Workday Financials Grants Management * Knowledge of grants management fundamentals (award vs funding, lifecycle, budgets, allowability) * Ability to support procure-to-pay transactions coded to grants (req/PO/invoice/expense) and troubleshoot budget errors * Experience with triage, incident management, and client-facing operational support * Strong communication and relationship-building skills * Ability to work independently and lead projects or workstreams * Hybrid work model willingness and travel up to 10% Key requirements *
