Workday Grants Delivery Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role, you help drive enterprise performance improvements through grant-focused Workday configurations and operations. You will support a hybrid delivery model within Deloitte’s GPS practice, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, scalable grant management. You’ll troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and contribute to complex enhancements that improve reporting and governance. This is a client-facing, impact-focused position with opportunities to lead workstreams and shape grant-related solutions. Compensation / Benefits * Transition and ramp-up activities for grant-related Workday configurations * Configure grant setup, worktag strategy, charging rules, validations, and reporting expectations * Review compliance artifacts (SOPs, control points, audit requirements, issues) * Provide Day-One Surge Support (hypercare/stabilization) and triage grant-impacting issues * Collaborate with Accounting and Integrations teams for data posting and data flow issues * Provide ongoing incident/request support and problem management for recurring grants issues (O&M) * Maintain documentation and improve knowledge base for consistent outcomes * Identify opportunities to improve compliance, validations, reporting, and master data governance * Deliver more complex enhancements (enhanced charging rules, controls, reporting, analytics) with testing and stakeholder readiness * Work within Grant-related processes in Workday Financials, including master data, worktagging/charging controls, and related approvals/security Tasks * Bachelor’s degree * Workday Financial Services Certified and/or Workday Grants Management Certified * 5+ years of experience in Workday Financials Grants Management * Strong knowledge of grants management fundamentals (award vs funding vs spend, lifecycle, budget controls, costs, period-of-performance) * Experience supporting procure-to-pay transactions coded to grants (req/PO/invoice/expense) and troubleshooting budget issues * Experience triaging, resolving issues, and incident management * Client-facing operational support experience * Ability to work independently and in a team * Strong communication, attention to detail, and relationship-building skills * Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment * Willingness to travel up to 10% and relocate if required Key requirements *
