Cyber Data Protection/PKI Specialist Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this Senior Consultant role, you advise clients on data protection and encryption strategies to mitigate risks across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. You will design, implement, and operate PKI and data protection solutions while guiding teams to deliver secure, scalable outcomes. You stay current on emerging crypto and data-security trends to drive practical, cutting-edge solutions. The role blends technical leadership with client-facing delivery to transform clients’ cyber postures. Compensation / Benefits * Act as SME and trusted advisor on data protection, encryption, and key management for clients * Design, implement and operate encryption strategies across environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) * Manage PKI lifecycle, certificate health monitoring, and secure deployment practices * Lead client engagements: drive execution, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure quality deliverables * Track project timelines and budgets to deliver on time and within scope * Stay current on encryption tech (post-quantum, confidential computing, secure enclaves) and industry trends * Evaluate and recommend new tools to enhance data security * Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client leadership to align data protection strategies Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a related field * 5+ years in data protection and information security (including data discovery, classification, DLP, cloud security) * 5+ years PKI concepts (certs, CAs, RA, CSR, OCSP, CRL, HSM, key management) * 2+ years implementing encryption technologies and CLM, TLS, and cloud encryption concepts * 2+ years developing data protection roadmaps and frameworks * 2+ years hands-on with CLM platforms (AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert or similar) * 2+ years experience with TLS/SSL, SSH, S/MIME, code signing, NIST practices * 2+ years certificate discovery, renewal, and compliance monitoring * 2+ years client-facing and workshops, executive communications * 2+ years leading small teams/workstreams and producing client-ready deliverables * 25-50% travel availability * Pro certifications such as CISSP, CISM or similar Key requirements *
