Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you guide large-scale Microsoft Purview data governance and compliance initiatives for clients, shaping how organizations classify, protect, and retain information. You work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize Purview-based solutions while managing client engagement and project delivery. You will perform health checks, support PoC and deployment, and advise on operating models to strengthen security posture. This is an opportunity to lead transformation in data governance within Deloitte’s cyber practice. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and propose Purview capabilities (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance * Conduct technical health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy configuration) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security tools * Advise clients on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements to reduce risk Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, problem solving, solution architecture, or design for Microsoft Purview or Microsoft data governance technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Microsoft Purview capabilities (data classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, or compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant fields * Ability to travel up to 50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
