Job description

  • Administer and support IBM i infrastructure platforms
  • Monitor performance and system health
  • Implement upgrades, patches, and system changes
  • Manage user access and security controls
  • Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
  • Automate operational tasks where appropriate
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Partner with multiple infrastructure and application teams

Requirements

  • 5+ years of IBM i / AS400 administration experience
  • Experience supporting IBM Power Systems environments
  • Strong knowledge of IBM i operating system administration
  • Experience with PTF implementation and OS upgrades
  • Backup and recovery administration experience
  • Performance monitoring and capacity planning experience
  • Understanding of IBM i security administration
  • Experience supporting production environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with PowerHA
  • Experience with MIMIX
  • Experience with iCluster
  • CL programming experience
  • RPG development or support experience
  • ServiceNow experience
  • Compliance and audit support experience
