Power BI Specialist

Roles of this type may sit within collaborative teams where you could work on data visualization, reporting and analytics projects. The work could involve building and maintaining Power BI solutions that transform raw data into meaningful dashboards and reports, partnering with stakeholders to understand their analytical needs, and ensuring data quality throughout the delivery process. This is a contract position based in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England., * Building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards that meet stakeholder requirements

• Collaborating with data teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions
• Performing data quality analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability of reporting datasets
• Connecting Power BI to various data sources and APIs to support data pipeline integration
• Optimizing report performance and user experience through effective design and data modelling
• Engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver solutions and provide ongoing support
• Working with tools and platforms including SQL, Azure, and cloud-based data environments
• Supporting the delivery of insights that inform business decisions across the organization

• Proven experience with Microsoft Power BI, including report and dashboard development
• Microsoft Power BI Certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data quality analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience engaging with stakeholders and translating analytical requirements
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a contract environment

Nice-to-have

• Familiarity with Azure, APIs, or microservices architectures
• Experience with data pipelines or ETL processes
• Knowledge of additional BI platforms or data visualization tools
• Experience in Agile or collaborative development environments
