Job description
We’re looking to build our data and analytics capability with a Power BI Specialist who can deliver impactful business intelligence solutions. This is a contract opportunity based in Birmingham, West Midlands, where you could take ownership of Power BI development, data quality and stakeholder engagement to drive informed decision-making across the business., * Designing and building Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements
- Managing data pipelines and ensuring data quality standards are met
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate them into solution design
- Working with SQL to extract, transform and prepare data for Power BI models
- Supporting end-users with training, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance
- Contributing to the improvement of data governance and reporting standards
- Liaising across teams to identify process improvements and analytics opportunities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or Power BI Specialist
- Microsoft Power BI Certification (or equivalent demonstrated proficiency)
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with data quality analysis
- Stakeholder engagement and communication experience in data and analytics contexts
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have
- Experience with Azure data services or cloud-based data platforms
- Knowledge of data pipeline design and ETL processes
- Familiarity with APIs, microservices or distributed systems
- Additional technical certifications in data, analytics or cloud platforms
