Job description

We’re looking to build our data and analytics capability with a Power BI Specialist who can deliver impactful business intelligence solutions. This is a contract opportunity based in Birmingham, West Midlands, where you could take ownership of Power BI development, data quality and stakeholder engagement to drive informed decision-making across the business., * Designing and building Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements

  • Managing data pipelines and ensuring data quality standards are met
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate them into solution design
  • Working with SQL to extract, transform and prepare data for Power BI models
  • Supporting end-users with training, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance
  • Contributing to the improvement of data governance and reporting standards
  • Liaising across teams to identify process improvements and analytics opportunities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or Power BI Specialist
  • Microsoft Power BI Certification (or equivalent demonstrated proficiency)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with data quality analysis
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication experience in data and analytics contexts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Azure data services or cloud-based data platforms
  • Knowledge of data pipeline design and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with APIs, microservices or distributed systems
  • Additional technical certifications in data, analytics or cloud platforms
