Power BI Specialist

Power BI Specialists may work within collaborative teams dedicated to transforming raw data into actionable business intelligence. Roles of this type could involve partnering with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting requirements, design scalable solutions, and maintain data quality standards. This is a contract opportunity based in Edinburgh, with a day rate of £450-550 per day, depending on experience and expertise., * Developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making

• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Managing data connections, transformations and quality assurance within Power BI environments
• Designing and implementing data pipelines to support analytics workflows
• Optimizing report performance and ensuring dashboards remain accurate and current
• Providing technical support and guidance to business users on Power BI functionality
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of data quality standards across reporting solutions

• Demonstrated expertise in Power BI development and Microsoft Power BI Certification
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data quality analysis
• Experience designing and building reports and dashboards for business stakeholders
• Solid understanding of data pipelines and data quality principles
• Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders to understand and translate requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Azure data services or cloud-based analytics platforms
• Familiarity with additional BI tools or data visualization platforms
• Background in data engineering or advanced analytics
• Experience with APIs or data integration techniques
