Data Infrastructure Engineer

Roles of this type could sit within collaborative technical teams where you would contribute to the design and delivery of data infrastructure solutions. The work could involve partnering across engineering, data and analytics functions to build resilient systems that support data quality, pipeline alignment and stakeholder engagement. You could have scope to work with modern cloud platforms, containerization technologies and distributed systems to solve complex data challenges., * Designing and developing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support organizational data needs

• Implementing and maintaining data quality frameworks and monitoring systems
• Working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) to build resilient solutions
• Collaborating with data analysts, engineers and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure pipeline alignment
• Contributing to the architecture and optimization of distributed systems
• Supporting CI/CD practices and infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform
• Documenting data infrastructure designs and best practices
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to team knowledge sharing

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Solid experience with data pipeline development and data quality analysis
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, .NET, or similar)
• Understanding of distributed systems architecture
• Ability to engage with stakeholders and translate data requirements into technical solutions
• Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science
• Google Cloud Data Engineer certification
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP RISE environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and API design
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments
• Background in data requirements gathering and pipeline alignment
