Job description
We are looking to build our data infrastructure capabilities with talented engineers who can design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems. Data Infrastructure Engineers in this area work with teams to create the backbone of modern data operations, ensuring data flows reliably across complex environments., This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Data Infrastructure Engineer roles, positions that could involve architecting and maintaining the systems that enable organisations to make data-driven decisions at scale. Roles of this type sit within collaborative technical teams where you would partner with data analysts, platform engineers and business stakeholders to design pipelines, optimise data quality and support analytical workloads. The work could involve building resilient, distributed data systems in cloud environments, ensuring data governance standards are met, and troubleshooting complex data flow issues across multiple platforms., * Designing and building scalable data pipelines using cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Implementing CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform to automate deployments
- Maintaining data quality frameworks and monitoring data systems for performance and reliability
- Working with APIs and microservices architectures to integrate data sources across distributed systems
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather data requirements and align pipeline development with business needs
- Troubleshooting and optimizing data workflows in containerized environments such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Supporting SQL-based data warehousing and ensuring compliance with data governance standards
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience building or maintaining data pipelines and data infrastructure
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with database design or data warehousing concepts
- Hands-on experience with at least one programming language, such as Python, Java or similar
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and infrastructure automation
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Nice-to-have
- Master’s degree or Google Cloud Data Engineer certification
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures
- Knowledge of data quality frameworks or BPMN/UML design patterns
- Exposure to SAP environments (S/4HANA, ECC or RISE)
- Linux system administration or scripting experience (Bash)
