Job description

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Data Infrastructure Engineer roles within organisations that rely on robust, scalable data systems to compete in fast-moving markets.   • Writing and maintaining code in languages such as Python, Java or other relevant technologies to support data workflows
  • Collaborating with data teams to gather requirements, understand quality standards and troubleshoot pipeline issues
  • Managing CI/CD practices to ensure data systems are deployed reliably and frequently
  • Working with SQL databases and related technologies to optimise data storage and retrieval
  • Contributing to infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Terraform
  • Participating in code reviews and helping to raise technical standards across the team

Requirements

  • Professional experience in data engineering, software engineering or a related role involving data systems
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or .NET
  • Hands-on experience building or maintaining data pipelines
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with containerisation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

Nice-to-have

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Google Cloud Data Engineer certification
  • Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of data quality frameworks and data requirements gathering
  • Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code solutions
  • Experience in API design or integration between systems
