Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable developer with strong .NET experience and modern front-end skills to work across a varied portfolio of digital products. You will join a collaborative technical team where your ideas will be valued, your development will be supported, and you will have the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work from concept through to release., As a Full-Stack Developer, you will work across the full software-development lifecycle, building and enhancing robust, user-focused applications.

You will be involved in a mix of greenfield and existing-product development, working closely with other developers, testers and non-technical stakeholders to turn requirements into high-quality solutions.

This is a hands-on development role with scope to grow. You will be supported by experienced technical colleagues while being given the autonomy to contribute ideas, take responsibility for your work and develop your skills across the wider technology stack., * Design, build, test and maintain full-stack web applications.

  • Develop back-end services and APIs using C# and .NET.
  • Build and enhance responsive front-end functionality using Angular and TypeScript.
  • Work across both new product development and enhancements to established applications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to understand requirements and deliver practical, maintainable solutions.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement and development catch-ups.
  • Carry out code reviews and contribute to high standards of code quality, security and maintainability.
  • Work closely with QA colleagues to support effective manual and automated testing practices.
  • Support releases, deployments and the ongoing improvement of development and DevOps processes.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues across the application stack.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Develop an understanding of the products, users and commercial objectives behind the technology., If you are a full-stack developer with strong .NET skills, modern front-end experience and the ambition to grow within a supportive product environment, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements

You will be a commercially experienced developer who enjoys working across the full stack and is comfortable contributing in a collaborative, product-focused environment.

You do not need to be a finished Senior Developer, but you should be able to work independently on assigned features, communicate clearly with colleagues and demonstrate a genuine desire to keep developing your technical and professional capability.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Commercial experience in a software-development role, ideally with 2 - 3+ years’ experience.
  • Strong C# and .NET development skills.
  • Experience building and maintaining web applications across both front end and back end.
  • Front-end development experience with Angular, or another modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework such as React or Vue.
  • Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience working with relational databases and data-driven applications.
  • Understanding of source control, code review and modern development practices.
  • Exposure to the wider software-development lifecycle, including testing, releases and production support.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues methodically and produce clean, maintainable code.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • A proactive mindset, with the willingness to learn, ask questions and take ownership.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience with recent versions of .NET.
  • Entity Framework or comparable ORM experience.
  • Azure exposure, including cloud-hosted applications, deployment pipelines or related services.
  • Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices and automated testing.
  • Experience working in Agile teams using two-week sprints.
  • An interest in AI-assisted development tools and how they can be used responsibly to improve developer productivity and quality.
  • Experience contributing to technical documentation, development standards or process improvements.

Benefits & conditions

  • A varied full-stack role with exposure to a broad product and technology landscape.
  • The opportunity to work on meaningful digital products, rather than being confined to a single client project or system.
  • Support from experienced developers and a clear opportunity to build towards greater technical responsibility.
  • A collaborative, low-ego team environment where knowledge sharing is encouraged.
  • Hybrid working, with regular in-person collaboration in Leeds.
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service.
  • Additional paid time off during the Christmas period.
  • Private medical cover.
  • Pension contributions matched up to a set level.
  • Annual discretionary bonus.
  • Cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Dedicated training budget and access to online learning platforms.

Working Pattern

This role is based in Leeds, and applicants should be within practical commuting distance. The team values face-to-face collaboration and currently works together in the office one day per week, ideally on Tuesdays.
