Job description
The IT Support Assistant will provide day-to-day technical support to staff and students, ensuring all IT systems, hardware, software, and classroom technologies operate effectively., * Provide first and second-line IT support to teaching and support staff.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, interactive screens, and other IT equipment.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, user accounts, and permissions.
- Assist with the management of Active Directory and network infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
- Support classroom technology and AV equipment.
- Assist with IT asset management, device deployment, and inventory control.
- Ensure IT systems remain secure and compliant with school policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to staff and students.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in an IT support role, ideally within a school or educational environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Experience supporting hardware, software, printers, and network devices.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, user account administration, and basic networking principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- The ability to manage workloads effectively and work independently across multiple sites.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
Desirable
- Experience supporting educational technology and classroom devices essential
- Knowledge of safeguarding requirements within schools.
- Relevant IT qualifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent.
