Job description

The IT Support Assistant will provide day-to-day technical support to staff and students, ensuring all IT systems, hardware, software, and classroom technologies operate effectively., * Provide first and second-line IT support to teaching and support staff.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, interactive screens, and other IT equipment.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications, user accounts, and permissions.
  • Assist with the management of Active Directory and network infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
  • Support classroom technology and AV equipment.
  • Assist with IT asset management, device deployment, and inventory control.
  • Ensure IT systems remain secure and compliant with school policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to staff and students.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an IT support role, ideally within a school or educational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience supporting hardware, software, printers, and network devices.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, user account administration, and basic networking principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • The ability to manage workloads effectively and work independently across multiple sites.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting educational technology and classroom devices essential
  • Knowledge of safeguarding requirements within schools.
  • Relevant IT qualifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent.
