Job description
The QA Technician will be responsible for monitoring and verifying food safety, quality control procedures, and regulatory compliance throughout the production process. This role plays a critical part in upholding our brand’s commitment to delivering premium artisan crackers, ensuring that every batch meets or exceeds internal and external quality standards., * Perform and document routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
- Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and HACCP protocols.
- Conduct daily inspections of production lines, sanitation processes, and packaging operations.
- Manage and maintain QA documentation, including SSOPs, checklists, moisture and Colorimeter logs, and temperature records.
- Calibrate and use QA equipment (e.g., moisture analyzers, thermometers, scales) with accuracy.
- Assist with internal audits and third-party inspections (e.g., Organic, Kosher, Non-GMO, SQF).
- Support non-conformance investigations, corrective actions, and product holds as needed.
- Communicate quality issues promptly to the production and management teams.
- Participate in training staff on QA protocols and food safety best practices.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Visual inspection for quality control?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- 1-3 years of experience in a food manufacturing or bakery QA/QC role (preferred).
- Basic familiarity with FDA, FSMA, HACCP, and food safety documentation.
- Strong organizational and observational skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to learn digital QA tools (e.g., SafetyChain or similar).
- Detail-oriented and passionate about food quality and safety.
- Able to lift, pull, push up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in a production environment.
Preferred (But Not Required) :
- Experience with artisan or baked goods
- HACCP & GMP experience or relevant food safety training, * Are you proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience:
- QA/QC: 1 year (Required)
- Food safety: 2 years (Required)
