Job description
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT User Support Technician to support both internal staff and our external customers. The role will involve day-to-day technical support, maintaining user systems, assisting customers with our online ordering and linen management portal, and overseeing the introduction and ongoing management of RFID technology within the business., Customer & Portal Support
- Provide support to customers using our online portal
- Deliver clear, friendly technical guidance to non-technical users.
- Track recurring issues and work with the team to improve portal functionality.
Internal IT Support
- Provide basic IT user support to staff across the company
- Set up and maintain workstations, mobile devices, and network-connected equipment.
- Support on-site hardware including PCs, barcode scanners, handheld devices, printers, and tablets.
- Monitor system performance and report issues where needed.
RFID System Implementation & Maintenance
- Assist in the roll-out and integration of RFID tracking across our linen operations.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to test, deploy, and maintain RFID equipment.
- Train staff on how to use RFID readers, tags, and related software.
- Troubleshoot and monitor RFID system performance during and after implementation.
General IT Administration
- Maintain asset registers for IT equipment.
- Ensure security best practices are followed
- Produce help guides, FAQs, and simple training materials for users.
- Collaborate with management to improve digital processes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Leadership?, This is a hands-on, dynamic role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, communicating clearly, and improving the customer experience through technology., Essential:
- Previous experience in a User Support, Helpdesk, or IT Technician role.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
- Experience with Windows operating systems, basic networking, and common office applications.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting web-based portals or CRM systems.
- Knowledge of basic hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience in a commercial laundry, logistics, hospitality, or similar operational environment.
- Degree level education

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
