Job description
MPB Structures are seeking a IT Support technician to join us. The ideal candidate will have technical responsibility for first line support for the businesses with the objective of providing reliable and responsive IT systems and services to facilitate the productivity of MPB employees and to protect the security and integrity of MPB data. Travel to sites within the UK will be required, Internal help desk - user PC configuration, deployment and support including management lifecycle - peripheral support, including printers, scanning, web cams, interactive screens (Teams), projectors and audio visual equipment - Team working - establish and maintain user profiles, distribution lists, security policies etc - provide technology training and IT orientation for new employees - Maintain system and network documentation - Manage change management - Evaluate and/or recommend purchase of computers, peripheral equipment, and software. - Work in conjunction with IT peers and directors to provide a seamless IT infrastructure and responsive user services. - Ensure compliance with ISO27001 including patching and monitoring. - Asset tracking of all IT related equipment.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a GCSE?, Desired experience with Microsoft systems such as Windows 11, and Office 365. - Desired experience with android and IOS - Desired exposure to mobile device management (Intune) - Ability to multi task - Planning and organising to make efficient use of time and systems - Excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills - Knowledge of Windows Server 2019, 2025, DNS, DHCP - Time management, ability to work on your own initiative. Knowledge of BT Cloud+ Voice system - Knowledge Of HP Server technology - Desired experience with Microsoft Hyper V - Influencing and communication to understand users requirements and set correct expectations. The ability to actively listen and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing is essential., Desired demonstrated experience in delivering technical services, interacting with end users, and hands-on systems administration experience., * GCSE or equivalent (preferred), * IT Support: 3 years (preferred)
