Job description
As Information Manager, you will take ownership of Information Management across a specific Environment region or framework. You will ensure that projects comply with Galliford Try's Information Management requirements, while also meeting client contractual obligations.
You will work closely with regional teams and the Head of Digital to develop and maintain standards, embed best practice and ensure information environments are set up in a consistent and structured way across all projects.
This is a key regional role responsible for deploying, supporting and improving systems such as Viewpoint for Projects and Fieldview, ensuring they are used effectively to support quality, handover and reporting., Information Management & Standards
- Maintain and implement the Environment Information Management standard
- Develop and manage Framework and Project Information Management Plans
- Ensure compliance with Business Management System (BMS) and IM procedures
- Build and configure project environments using standard templates
- Maintain structured, auditable and compliant document control practices
Digital Systems & Deployment
- Configure workflows and project workspaces in Viewpoint for Projects
- Deploy Fieldview including forms, inspections and reporting tools
- Manage access, user permissions and security groups
- Oversee drawing calibration and records management
- Monitor and report on completion documentation across projects
Training & Support
- Train and support project teams, document controllers and site staff
- Provide client and supply chain system training when required
- Act as regional escalation point for system issues
- Share best practice and improvements with the central digital team
Improvement & Governance
- Support Information Management audits
- Feed back system improvements to central systems leads
- Support recruitment of Document Controllers and Site Administrators
- Ensure compliance is maintained across all regional projects
Requirements
- Experience in Information Management or Document Control within construction or infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of Viewpoint for Projects and Fieldview
- Understanding of ISO 19650 and BIM principles
- Experience working within Common Data Environments (CDE)
- Knowledge of QA systems and project information lifecycles
- Confident working with users at all levels
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
