Director of IT

WLP Recruitment is working exclusively with a leading UK-based organisation to appoint a visionary and strategic Director of IT. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the organisations entire technology landscape and driving innovation, security, and scalability across the business. About the Role:

Youll lead the IT function, manage digital transformation initiatives, align IT with business goals, and build a high-performing technology team., * Define and execute the companys IT strategy and roadmap

• Oversee infrastructure, security, applications, and support teams
• Lead major transformation projects including cloud migration, ERP, and automation
• Manage IT budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data protection standards
• Collaborate with C-level leadership to drive business-wide tech innovation

• Proven experience in an IT Director, Head of IT, or similar senior leadership role
• Strong technical understanding of infrastructure, cloud (Azure/AWS), ERP/CRM systems, and cybersecurity
• Demonstrated experience in leading digital transformation initiatives
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in regulated environments (finance, healthcare, legal, etc.) is a plus
