System Engineer

The role involves acting as an IT System Engineer within a small internal infrastructure team. The position focuses on co-managing a diverse IT infrastructure that includes network, security components, databases, storage, servers (Windows and Linux), cloud infrastructure (Azure), workstations, and mobile devices. Key responsibilities include assisting in the design and setup of new infrastructure, ensuring secure implementation, troubleshooting and providing technical support, handling and following up on security incidents, and documenting technical information for IT colleagues and end users. The role requires close collaboration with internal IT teams, business users, and external service providers.

Do you have experience in iOS?, * Medior-level experience in IT system administration, generalist mindset preferred.

• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components, including:
• Network (firewalls, switches)
• Security systems (WAF, anti-DDoS, web proxies)
• Servers (Windows, Linux) and storage systems
• SQL Server databases
• Cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure
• Workstations and Apple iOS devices
• Strong IT fundamentals and prior experience in server, storage, or network administration is a plus.
• Security-minded with investigative and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to document technical processes and user guidance in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Team-oriented, highly motivated, organized, structured, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Languages

• Dutch or French: working knowledge desirable.
• English: good writing and communication skills desirable.
