Job description
- Take calls from customers regarding IT queries and provide solutions
- Understand and improve the operation of bespoke software systems
- Resolve customer issues by remotely connecting to customer sites
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain causes and solutions
- Participate in the out of hours support rota (approximately 1 week in 8)
- Escalate issues to the line manager according to procedure
- Maintain high-quality call logging for clarity in issue tracking
- Liaise with customers in a professional manner at all times
- Participate in ongoing training as systems evolve
- Ensure a tidy and professional working environment
- Keep technical knowledge up to date

Requirements
- Strong general educational qualifications
- Proven IT helpdesk support experience or equivalent customer service experience
- Excellent IT literacy with fast, accurate keyboard skills
- Confident and clear communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
- Demonstrable organizational skills, including time management and prioritization
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Motivation to learn and adapt to evolving systems and features
- Professional demeanor and approach
