Job description

  • In this role, you will manage 2nd and 3rd line technical support for schools, providing exceptional levels of customer service and support. You will be responsible for resolving and managing any technical issues that affect the operational functionality of the schools by delivering robust technical solutions. Mentoring and supporting first and second-line support roles will also be part of your responsibilities. You will ensure compliance with school policies, undertake project work, and lead various projects from inception to implementation. Additionally, you may be involved in internal network support and staff training as required.

Our office is located in Princes Risborough, and this role operates on a hybrid model with two days onsite. You will report directly to the Service Desk Manager and act as the primary point of technical escalation while contributing to a dedicated technical support team focused on delivering exceptional service to our schools.

Requirements

  • As our ideal candidate, you will have experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Operating Systems. Familiarity with virtualization technologies, particularly Hyper-V, and cloud technologies such as Office 365 and Azure is essential. We are looking for someone who has experience leading installations of servers and networks and can make proactive decisions during ICT emergencies. You should possess outstanding levels of customer service with positive and proactive communication skills, both verbal and written. Additionally, we value flexibility, a friendly and approachable demeanor, strong teamwork abilities, and the capability to work independently while effectively managing your time.
