Why This Role Matters
As a CST ICT Officer, you'll provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line support, act as a technical escalation point, and help drive continuous improvement across our ICT environment. You'll work with a diverse range of users, support large technical projects, and contribute directly to the efficiency and innovation of Invest NI's ICT services.
Technical Skills (Essential)
We're looking for candidates with hands-on experience in:
Troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues
Diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently across a modern ICT estate.
Supporting Windows 10/11 desktop environments
Delivering seamless end-user support within a Microsoft-based ecosystem.
Active Directory / Entra ID administration
Managing users, groups, permissions, and identity-based access controls.
SCCM / Intune package creation & deployment
Building drivers, updating software, and supporting modern device management.
Working in a fast-paced ICT Service Desk environment
Supporting a varied user base with professionalism and resilience.
Creating user documentation & knowledge-based content
Translating technical information into clear, user-friendly guidance.

What You'll Be Doing
- Providing 1st and 2nd line ICT support to colleagues across NI and global locations
- Leading on technical tasks including mailbox setups, software packaging, and device updates
- Investigating complex ICT issues and contributing to long-term solutions
- Maintaining accurate asset records and call notes
- Supporting ICT projects and leading smaller project work (e.g. print solutions)
- Managing procurements under £30k in line with policy
- Enhancing documentation and knowledge-base resources
- Championing excellent customer service across the ICT function
